Heavenly Father,

We come to you in prayer, lifting up your word as a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. We thank you for the guidance, wisdom, and direction that your word provides. It shines a light on the path we should take, and it guides us away from the darkness of sin and confusion.

We pray that your word would be written on our hearts, so that we may always have it as a source of guidance and strength. We ask that you would give us the wisdom to understand your word and the courage to follow it, even when it is difficult.

We pray that your word would be a source of comfort and encouragement to us in times of trouble and a source of joy and peace in times of happiness.

We thank you for your faithfulness and for your promise to guide us with your word. We give you all the glory and honor, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
