Scriptural confession to obtain salvation in Christ Jesus

Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before you confessing my sins and asking for your forgiveness. Your word says in 1 John 1:9, ‘If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.’

I declare that I confess my sins before you, and I ask for your forgiveness. I thank you that you are faithful and just to forgive me and purify me from all unrighteousness. Your word says in Romans 3:23, ‘For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.’

I declare that I have sinned and fallen short of your glory, Lord. Your word says in Romans 6:23, ‘For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.’

I declare that I deserve death for my sins, but I thank you that you have given me the gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Your word says in Romans 10:9, ‘If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.’

I declare with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that you raised him from the dead. I ask that you save me, Lord, and that you cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Your word says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, ‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!’

I declare that I am a new creation in Christ and that the old has gone and the new is here. I thank you, Lord, for my salvation and for setting me free from the power of sin. I receive your salvation by faith, and I ask that you help me to live a life that is pleasing to you. In Jesus name, amen.
