Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to you seeking freedom from addiction and anxiety. Your word says in Isaiah 61:1, ‘The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.’
I declare that I am no longer a captive to addiction and anxiety, but that I have been set free by the power of Christ. Your word says in Psalm 34:4, ‘I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.’
I seek you, Lord, and I believe that you will deliver me from all my fears and anxieties. Your word also says in Galatians 5:1, ‘It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.’
I stand firm in the freedom that I have in Christ, and I choose not to be burdened again by the yoke of addiction and anxiety. Your word says in Philippians 4:13, ‘I can do all this through him who gives me strength.’
I declare that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength, including overcoming addiction and anxiety. Your word says in 2 Timothy 1:7, ‘For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.’
I declare that I have a sound mind in Christ, and that I have the power and love to overcome addiction and anxiety. I thank you, Lord, for the freedom that I have in Christ, and for the victory that I have over addiction and anxiety. In Jesus name, amen.
