Scriptural Confession to obtain freedom from negative thought(s)

Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to you seeking freedom from negative thoughts. Your word says in 2 Timothy 1:7, ‘For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.’

I declare that I have a sound mind in Christ, and that I have power and love to overcome any negative thoughts. Your word also says in Philippians 4:8, ‘Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.’

I choose to think on these things and to fill my mind with your truth. I renounce any negative thoughts that have been holding me back, and I declare that they have no power over me. Your word says in 2 Corinthians 10:5, ‘We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.’

I take captive every negative thought and make it obedient to Christ. I choose to focus on your promises and your truth. Your word says in Isaiah 26:3, ‘You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.’

I choose to trust in you, Lord, and to keep my mind steadfast on your truth. Thank you for the freedom that I have in Christ, and for the victory that I have over negative thoughts. In Jesus name, amen.
